In case of KT, the No. 1 fixed-line service provider with 50% market share in Internet subscription, Internet bundles have the largest number of subscribers (4.47 million). For SKT/SKB, the No. 1 mobile service provider with 50% share in mobile subscription, mobile bundles have the most subscribers (2.41 million). By leveraging the customer base they had long expanded, and the high market share they have in the communication service market, the two providers could win customers in their new IPTV business. On the other hand, cable TV providers, with no mobile infra and less competitive Internet service, faced challenge in attracting new customers, letting their subscriptions fall far behind their rivals.)
