SK텔레콤은 2022년 1분기 상용화를 목표로 ‘클라우드-네이티브(Cloud-Native) 기반 차세대 5G 코어’ 장비의 구축을 시작했다고 15일 밝혔다. SKT는 이동통신 분야에도 해당 기술의 도입이 필요하다는 판단에 따라 선제적으로 에릭슨과 ‘클라우드-네이티브 기반 차세대 5G 코어’를 개발해 검증 과정을 마치고 구축에 나서게 됐다고 밝혔다.
