SK Telecom to Showcase Full-Stack AI Capabilities at MWC Barcelona 2026
02/22/2026

  • Highlighting SKT’s competitiveness across AI infrastructure, models and services at MWC26 from March 2–5
  • Exhibiting AI data center expertise along with innovations in network and marketing powered by AI infrastructure
  • Demonstrating SKT’s hyperscale AI foundation model ‘A.X K1’ and showcasing key physical AI technologies
  • Pursuing collaboration with global telecom operators, AI data center providers and startups

SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM, hereinafter referred to as “SKT”) announced today that it will showcase its full-stack AI capabilities across AI infrastructure, models and services at MWC Barcelona 2026 (MWC26), the world’s largest connectivity event for the mobile and telecommunications industry, taking place from March 2–5, 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.

Under the theme of “AI for Infinite Possibilities,” SKT and its partners will showcase how telecommunications enhance AI technologies and how AI is transforming telecommunications.

Exhibition of AI Infrastructure: AIDC Expertise and Network & Marketing Evolution

At the SKT exhibition booth, visitors will be able to explore in detail SKT’s core AI infrastructure technologies, including its accumulated expertise in AI data centers (AIDCs), as well as network AI and marketing AI.

SKT will showcase the AIDC Infrastructure Manager, an intelligent platform that integrates diverse data generated across AIDCs into a unified system, enabling real-time monitoring and efficient, stable operations.

The company will also display its integrated GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) solution, which integrates SKT’s high-performance, high-efficiency cloud platform ‘Petasus AI Cloud,’ the GPU resource optimization solution ‘AI Cloud Manager,’ and the real-time monitoring system ‘GAIA.’

In addition, SKT will introduce its next-generation solution ‘AI Inference Factory,’ designed for an AI market shifting from training-centric to inference-driven computing. The solution integrates equipment, computing infrastructure and software into a single offering, addressing cost, power and memory constraints of conventional AIDCs.

The company will present the evolution of telecommunications networks and marketing in the AI era.

In the network domain, SKT will showcase innovations such as AI agents designed for network operations; AI-RAN technology that delivers both telecommunications and AI services simultaneously; on-device AI–based antenna optimization; and integrated sensing and communications technology that collects environmental data through radio signals — offering a preview of the future of autonomous networks and the path toward 6G.

In the marketing domain, SKT will showcase agentic AI services and supporting platforms designed to enhance customer experience and drive operational innovation.

Live Demonstration of its AI Foundation Model ‘A.X K1’ and Physical AI

The booth will also feature SKT’s advanced AI models and services, demonstrating the full breadth of the company’s technological capabilities.

Through an on-site live demonstration, SKT will present A.X K1, Korea’s first hyperscale AI model with 519 billion parameters, which advanced to Phase 2 of the government-led Sovereign AI Foundation Model Project in January 2026. Visitors will also be able to explore models released as open source under SKT’s AI language model brand A.X.

SKT will introduce AI services designed to serve as the brain, senses and eyes of physical AI.

These include the Digital Twin Platform, which precisely replicates real-world environments to support physical AI’s decision-making and planning; the Robot Training Platform, which connects virtual environments with real-world sites to help physical AI learn the sensory capabilities it needs; and the high-performance vision solution ‘SynapsEgo,’ which provides advanced analysis of first-person, on-site video footage.

The exhibition will also feature a broad portfolio of SKT’s AI-powered services, including the AI call service A. phone (A-DoT phone), the AI voice recording and documentation service A.

note (A-DoT note), and the AI-based behavioral recognition care service CareVia. Visitors will also be able to see the AI Property Screening System (AIPS) currently deployed by SK hynix, as well as SK Intellix’s AI wellness robot NAMUHX.

A dedicated area within the exhibition space will also be set up to introduce SKT’s AI governance framework, “T.H.E. AI (by Telco, for Humanity, with Ethics AI),” designed to address global AI regulations and changes in the technology landscape.

Four leading Korean AI innovators collaborating with SKT — Rebellions, MangoBoost, SelectStar and StudioLab — will also be featured at the booth.

Collaboration with global telecom operators, AIDC providers and startups

At MWC26, SKT will actively explore collaboration with global industry leaders, leveraging its full-stack AI capabilities spanning the entire AI value chain. The company will place particular focus on collaboration in AIDCs, drawing on expertise from the Ulsan AIDC and the Haein GPU cluster, and in AI models following its advancement to Phase 2 of Korea’s Sovereign AI Foundation Model project.

Jung Jai-hun, CEO of SK Telecom, and other executives will engage in a series of meetings with key stakeholders, including global telecommunications operators, AIDC providers and startups.

Meanwhile, SKT will support Korean startups participating in MWC26 by operating a dedicated startup exhibition area and providing support to help attract global investment.

“MWC Barcelona 2026 will serve as a milestone for SK Telecom to show the world how we are bringing AI infrastructure, models and services into reality on the foundation of telecommunications,” said Jung Jai-hun, CEO of SK Telecom.

“With our full-stack AI capabilities, we aim to elevate SK Telecom’s role within the global AI ecosystem to the next level.”
