World's First Inter-Carrier VoLTE Service available in November

Korea, which presented the world's first VoLTE service in 2012, is now getting ready to present the world's first inter-carrier VoLTE service in November. The Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning (MSIP) announced on the 17th that the Korean big 3 mobile carriers would participate in a trial VoLTE service at the end of June, and gradually expand it until the service is fully launched in November.

Busan Transportation Corporation (BTC) has begun on setting up LTE-R in their subway. According to the business on the 26th, BTC has announced of setting up LTE-R in extension of Busan subway line (Shinpyung~Dadaepo). They will be posting request for proposal (RFP) in the early May. If early, they will select the licensee by end of May and finish setting up by August of 2016. The business scale is about 17.7 million USD.
